You can learn German with us at VILLA. We learn in groups of 10 to 20 people. We teach everyday words through exercises, games and small tasks.

The Personnel Office advises about the possibilites to work, study or do an apprenticeship at the City of Leipzig. You will receive support when looking for a suitable role and information on how to obtain the required qualifications.
This advice service will be offered in German, English and Spanish.

Die Kontaktstelle Wohnen hilft Geflüchteten in Leipzig, bei der Wohnungssuche und unterstützt sie bei Terminen und Anträgen (z.B. Mietkostenübernahme durchs Jobcenter). Außerdem bietet sie Hilfe bei Problemen mit der Wohnung, Vermieter*innen oder Nachbar*innen.
Gesprochene Sprachen: Deutsch, Englisch, Russisch, Arabisch

The Kontaktstelle Wohnen helps refugees in Leipzig with searching for an apartment and supports you with appointments and filling out application forms. It also supports in case of any problems with the apartment, landlord or neighbours.

Der Migrantinnen- und Migrantenbeirat Leipzig lädt Sie herzlich zur feierlichen Auftaktveranstaltung des neu gewählten Beirates am 6. Dezember 2025 von 16:00 bis 22:00 Uhr im OFT Rabet, Eisenbahnstraße 54, 04315 Leipzig, ein.
Die Beiratsmitglieder möchten sich vorstellen, auf die Arbeit der vergangenen Jahre zurückblicken und einen Ausblick auf kommende Aufgaben und Ziele geben. Im Mittelpunkt des Abends stehen Gespräche und Diskussionen zu Themen, die Migrantinnen und Migranten in Leipzig betreffen, begleitet von kulinarischen Angeboten, Musik und Möglichkeiten zum Austauschen und Vernetzen.

The Communal Energy Advice Service (KEB) from Caritas Leipzig e. V.informs and supports people with a low-income on how to save money on energy bills.
Topics of the advice service are:
- Saving electricity, warm water and heating.
- Answers to questions about energy costs, z.B. Contracts, tarifs, payment methods, payments
- Tips for saving electricity.
This offer is free, no registration is needed.
Video interpreters for many different languages are available in the Welcome Centre, so an interpreter is not needed.

"Good-quality work Leipzig". This project is offered by the team from "Arbeiten und Leben Sachsen e.V." (Living and Working in Saxony).
This project offers information about employment rights. It is aimed at migrants from outside the EU who live in Leipzig. Between 1pm and 5pm you can come to the Welcome Centre with questions about employment in Leipzig.
Topics include: unacceptable questions in a job interview, explanations of employment and training contracts and salaries.

This project is offered by the team from "Arbeiten und Leben Sachsen e.V." (Living and Working in Saxony).
The aim of this project is to help migrants who moved to Leipzig to find employment suitable for their education. The project is aimed at: Teachers, academics, especially those trained in the Humanities, childcarers and people who would like to be self-employed.
The project has two specific objectives:
Orientation on the job market. Skills and personal career objectives, the job market in Saxony and how to find work in the region, how to use skills gained through volunteering in practice.
Self-employment as an alternative? Self-employment as an alternative career option, legal conditions for starting a new business in Germany, first steps towards becoming self-employed.
