International Day of Women and Girls in Science

With the motto Women in Science – Alliances for Change, Leipzig University invites us to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The event focuses on strengthening networks and building sustainable alliances in order to increase visibility for female scientists. The action day includes a broad programme of masterclasses, workshops, exhibitions and interactive formats, followed by a panel discussion and networking reception with members of the Leipzig Science Network. The venue is accessible, some talks will be simultaneously translated into English, and childcare services will be available.

„The winter semester at the HGB traditionally ends with the Rundgang: In a variety of exhibitions, performances, installations and work presentations, students, teachers and staff show what they have been working on during the current academic year. Works and projects from the four disciplines of book art/graphic design, photography, painting/graphics and media art will be presented, accompanied by a series of events. Once again this year, the entire university building will be used for the exhibitions and presentations, i.e. the ballroom, corridors and classrooms.”
