On Friday 14. November, the HMT Symphony Orchestra will give a concert at the Gewandhaus in memory of Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. The concert program includes Richard Strauss and will feature Yijea Han, a master student of Prof. Nick Deutsch at the HMT, as soloist on the oboe.

The Festival European Notenspuren is a festival of Leipzig heritage focused on musicians and composers who studied, lived and worked in Leipzig. This year’s festival especially emphasise Jewish musical heritage in Leipzig, but also musical personalities who shaped the city’s musical life. The festival offers a program of workshops, concerts and musical city tours to celebrate the central place of music in Leipzig’s city culture.
