The 19th „Wasserfest“ (water festival) is going to take place in Leipzig. From August 16 to August 18, Leipzig is becoming a water city again. In old tradition, the water streets of Leipzig are going to be used again around these days. Visitors get the chance to see old industrial buildings and enjoy the time on the water. Moreover, it is possible to go to the surrounding areas of Leipzig by boat.

There are different events regarding the topic “water” taking place at several spots around Leipzig, e.g. the Clara-Zetkin-Park. At the Sachsenbrücke you can visit the “Fischerfest” and taste different kinds of fish. Afterwards, you can head to the Musikpavillon (outdoor café and restaurant in the park) to listen to swing music and watch a swing-dancing club show.
