Once a year, the members of the “Welcome to Leipzig” network get together at the cultural centre “Moritzbastei”, the biggest student club in Europe in the heart of Leipzig. It is an opportunity for the different network partners to meet and get to know one another. During the meetings, the different stakeholders discuss recent developments in the project and how things will continue in the future. The project cooperates with Leipzig University, the City of Leipzig, the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ), the Max Planck Institutes for Mathematics in the Sciences and for Evolutionary Anthropology (MPI), the German Centre for Integrative Biodiversity Research (iDiv), the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences as well as the HHL Graduate School of Management.
These stakeholders come together, benefit from each other’s experiences and challenges and discuss the needs of guest researchers so as to assist them with their arrival in Leipzig and their research institution.
We also invite guest researchers from each of the research institutions, who come and talk about their experiences and make valuable suggestions for the continuation of the project.
