There is an alternative, very lovely Christmas market in Werk II, a cultural venue located in Connewitz. Here you can find arts stands,  enjoy regional food and drinks and buy artsy christmas presents.

Fri-Sat: 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Sun: 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
